Cancer does not just happen. It’s the punctuation at the end of a life sentence of uninformed food choices fostered by sugar coated marketing messages with an order of persuasive food science techniques on the side. I do not like what McDonalds has to offer as “food”, but I’m impressed that they have the balls to put this information up in their store. Perhaps they were told they had to provide this type of information.
I wonder how much of a difference it will make…

Being a vegan allows me to grow in so many healthy ways. Today, I was invited to a pub to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The meaty menu had few vegan options. I chose to ask my waiter for help in choosing food that I could eat. She was thrilled to be of service and offered a falafel wrap with house made guacamole instead of cheese and sour cream. The results? I had a decent meal along with the realisation that if I take care of myself, I’ll get help no matter what. How awesome is that?!?

Time to go grocery shopping when everything edible in the kitchen is orange… peppers, tomatoes, carrots, turmeric. Made into a meal with avocado, mushrooms, sweet lime, sea salt, yeast flakes and tobasco!
